The first CaspianInternational Law MootCourt reaches its final

The final of the first edition of the Society’s moot court competition on the international law of the sea was held on 25 July 2026, and was marked by close argument, thorough legal preparation and professional advocacy.

The Caspian International Law Moot Court is ADA Law Society’s own competition on the international law of the sea. The final round of its first edition was held on 25 July 2026 at ADA University.

Teams worked through their cases at a consultation stage before the oral rounds. The final was argued before a full bench in the University’s auditorium, was open to students as spectators, and closed with the presentation of plaques and certificates to the participants.

First place went to the team of the ADA University School of Law. The team of the Law Faculty of the National Aviation Academy took second place and the award for the best respondent memorial. The award for the best applicant memorial went to Camal Rzayev (BSU), Nuray Bağırlı (Karabakh University), Ayan Zeynalova (BSU) and Fəridə Rəşidzadə (BSU).

The Society thanked the members of the bench for their contribution to the competition.
